Entries are now being taken for the 2008 Yorkshire Open 8-Ball Pool Championships and this event is open only to the first 64 players who pay the £20 entry fee. With a prize fund of over £1,200 on the day this one is not too be missed and places are available on a first-come first-served basis only.
The event is on Saturday, 2nd August, 2008 and will be held at Miscues, 24 - 32 Cheapside, Barnsley, South Yorkshire, S70 1RR.
All matches will be played to WEPF World rules, best of 11 frames, with prize money paid to the Last 16 and a plate event for all competitors who lose in rounds one and two.

Draw: To be made in advance, subject to 64 advance entries*. All players will be notified of there individual start times and the full draw will be published in advance on uk8ball.com and various regional webistes.
Format: The main event is straight knockout and all matches played to WEPF World Rules and best of 11 frames. The plate event wil be best of 5 frames.
Prize fund*: Winner - £350
Runner-up - £200
Semi-Finalists - £100
Quarter-Finalists - £50
Last 16 - £25
Remaining monies paid out in free plate event

Remember, this event is strictly first-come first-served and once its full no further entries will be taken so enter early to avoid disappointment. The last 64 player event we ran, at Stoke in January, filled very quickly so dont miss out!.
