I know it's been mentioned before and never got off the ground, but would people be interested in a Selby v York Challenge Match.
I'm not going to bring money into it because it would put some players off and others simply couldn't afford it, but how about, say, the top 12 (as chosen by the team Captains) from Selby play against the top 12 from York, where each player plays a best of 5 against 4 different opponents. The result of each of these best of 5's then counts as one win, irrespective of the score.
You play each other home and away and then add the 2 scores together to see who the winner is!
As I say, I don't want to confuse things with money... it's simply to see who is best!
So, would you get a team?

It looks as though Selby will be able to get a team together providing we can all agree upon a date!
I have provisionally suggested Friday 15th May and Friday 29th May. One match in Selby and one in York!
So, can you lot get your top team together for those dates?

So, can you lot get your top team together for those dates? I think there is pretty much 0% chance of Bodden playing in this so I doubt we will have our 'best' 11, but if on-one minds I think I can get a very competitive team together!

Ooooooh yes! I'd think our team would look something like a selection from: Si Morris (captain) James Lee Paul Thomas Simon Newby Danny Bodden Toby Newton Dave Catlow Tim Hart Steve Thomas Chris Dayman Tim Lister Andy Warriner Dave Sanderson Tony Lee Chris Dower (B team sub) Mike Walsh Paul Stephenson [ This message was edited by: Leejam88 on 2009-04-03 13:38 ]

I'm happy for Si to do it, especially as I might not be able to make the 2nd leg. Yeah I was going to suggest Mike Walsh but I think Gary has now retired after Wednesday
